What will happen to my features once my Core Membership expires?

If you’ve taken advantage of Core Membership features but your Core Membership expires, a number of changes will occur. Here are changes you can expect to encounter after your Core Membership lapses:

  • You will not be able to offer new sales of Adoptables, Premium Downloads, or Premium Galleries. Your existing items for sale will still be available, but the platform fee for your sales will be increased to 20%. (Learn more about DeviantArt’s platform fees.)

  • If you previously created Subscription tiers, you’ll be able to update your existing tiers and gain new subscribers, but you won’t be able to create new tiers, and the platform fee on your Subscription earnings will be increased to 20%.

  • While you will still be able to offer Commissions, the maximum asking price you can offer will be $100, and it will also be subject to the 20% platform fee.

  • Any existing Custom Sections on your Profile can still be seen and edited by you, but other deviants and visitors will not be able to see them unless you upgrade to Core.

  • Custom backgrounds and Profile Skins you’ve applied to your deviations and Profile will disappear.

  • If you have more than 2 GB of files in your Sta.sh, you won’t be able to upload any new files to Sta.sh to submit to DeviantArt. You will need to delete files from your Sta.sh until you are under the 2 GB limit for non-Core Members.

While this list covers common occurrences when Core Membership lapses, it is not a comprehensive list. Review the Core Membership page to see a comprehensive list of features, and use the information there to compare features.
