In many cases, your saved credit card information will be automatically updated so that subscription renewals occur as scheduled. (Similar services may be supported by other card brands.) If this is the case, your previously scheduled payments will not be affected by changes to your credit card details.

DeviantArt employs a robust credit card fraud detection system. Your full credit card details are not stored after you make a purchase; however, a partial card number is stored, which is in compliance with security requirements made by credit card associations. This is done in order to identify transactions and detect potentially fraudulent activity, while also keeping your sensitive card data safe. All of the above precautions have been taken to ensure a safe and secure purchasing environment.

If you think someone has used your credit card for a fraudulent purchase on DeviantArt, please contact DeviantArt Customer Support, and include your name, the amount of the purchase, and the last 4 digits of your credit card number in your ticket.

What appears on your statement is an authorization hold placed upon your account. The hold will expire at a certain point that depends on your bank, at which point your money will be available again. If you encounter this issue, please do not attempt to place another order until you correct your billing information on DeviantArt.

When you place an order with DeviantArt, an authorization request is sent to your credit card company. (This is not an actual charge against your card until the order is completed. Once the order is completed, the charge will be final.) This request includes the cost amount of your order, as well as the billing information you provided during the checkout process.
