When you buy an Exclusive on DeviantArt, you become the owner of that specific artwork. Your username will be credited on its deviation page, as well as on its deviation thumbnail wherever it gets featured on DeviantArt. (In addition, you may be credited on the artist’s Profile, if the artist installs a Profile Section that features it.)

However, buying an Exclusive does not give you copyright ownership or any other commercial rights, unless the artist voluntarily agrees to do so in a written contract between themself and the buyer. If you want to purchase copyright ownership or commercial usage rights, you will need to contact the artist directly to discuss terms.

If the original creator of an Exclusive allows reselling of their Exclusive and you buy it, you can also choose to resell that Exclusive in the future, transferring the same ownership you had to a new buyer.
