How can I troubleshoot loading issues on DeviantArt?
Some common loading issues may occur when browsing that can be resolved without contacting DeviantArt Customer Support. Before contacting the team, try the following steps.
Disable browser extensions or plugins:
If loading issues occur where a page on DeviantArt partially loads or does not display as expected, this is generally because your browser has failed to load a CSS file. Try disabling any browser extensions or plugins you have installed, and then refresh the page. If the problem persists, check to make sure you’re using the most up-to-date version of your browser. If you’ve done all of this and issues persist, you may want to contact your internet service provider to see if there is a routing issue or outage.
Ensure cookies are enabled and unrestricted:
Cookies are used to make the site experience more user-friendly, but if your browser disables them, it may disrupt your usual site experience. Check the support website for the browser you use and learn how to make sure your browser has cookies enabled.
If you’re certain your browser does have cookies enabled, make sure any firewall or antivirus programs you have installed aren’t restricting cookies. After checking these settings, if you’re still encountering issues, try deleting your stored cookies, as they may be corrupt.
Give the site a bit of time:
Newly-submitted deviations, favourites, forum posts, and comments may not always show immediately, particularly if servers are overloaded. The opposite is also true; elements that should disappear may not do so immediately.
If this occurs for you, try clearing your browser cache to see if it resolves the issue. If it doesn’t, then wait a few minutes and see if the issue persists.
If your issue is not resolved by one of the above options, file a bug report.
