How do I submit proof of age?

If you're trying to change your birth date from below the age of 18 to 18 or above, you'll need to submit proof of your age to customer service.

DeviantArt is open to artists age 13 and above, but to better serve appropriate content for our younger viewers, it's important for us to take precautions to ensure mature content is only viewable to those 18 and older.

You can do this quickly by submitting a ticket to our team!

  • Click "Submit Ticket"
  • Send in your ticket with the following information:
    • Your username.
    • The listed date of birth in your account, including the year.
    • The correct date of birth in your account, including the year.
  • Be sure to add a valid ID scan/photo as an attachment.
    • Attach a scan or a clear photograph of a birth certificate, health card, or another official document containing your name and your date of birth.

      We want to protect your personal safety and identity, so please edit the image you send us to block or blur your last name, any license or registration numbers on the document, and any indication of a home address. If you send us a scan of the document, you can put a small piece of paper over each the sections that show personal information before you scan the document.
