When you’ve found an Original you’d like to purchase and the seller has marked their Shop status as “Open for Original requests,” you can go ahead and place your order!

From the Originals tab in the seller’s Shop, click “Request Now” on the Original you want and fill out the Original order form created by the seller.

The order form displays the base price and any add-ons you can include (such as bonus outfits or additional backgrounds). The seller may also ask questions about your vision for the Original: style, mood, character name, elements to include or exclude, and more. 

Fill out your Original order request in as much detail as possible so the seller can get a clear idea of your vision.
Tip: You can also add reference images to your request.

Once the form is complete, the order summary will show the Original request’s base price, selected add-ons, and the total price. 

You can message the seller at any stage to clarify details or ask questions.

The seller has 72 hours to accept or decline your Original order request. You will not be charged immediately when placing your order; a pending authorization charge will appear on your bank account, but you’ll only be charged if the seller accepts your request. If your request is made using Points, those Points will be held and cannot be used for other purchases while the request is pending.

    

In rare cases, an order may also be canceled by DeviantArt Support, and your payment will be refunded.

You can withdraw your Original order request at any time before it’s accepted by the seller.
