How do filters and search work in Messages?

Messages includes advanced filters and search tools to help you quickly find the conversations you’re looking for.
Filters
Filter your Messages to quickly find what you need.
  • All: Default option, shows all messages except Archived and Requests
  • Unread: Displays new conversations you haven’t opened yet
  • Archived: Conversations from your inbox can be moved/archived when you’re done with them
  • Requests: Messages from deviants you may not know
  • Watching: Only shows conversations with deviants you watch
  • My Supporters: Filters your current subscribers on DeviantArt
Search
Find any message you’ve ever received with a powerful search tool.
  • By user: Enter a username to quickly find a specific deviant
  • By keyword: Search all your past conversations using keywords to find something specific, such as “gargoyle Exclusive” 
  • Advanced search queries: Use these for even more precise results:
    • to:username: Shows messages you’ve sent to a specific deviant, like “commission to:fella”
    • from:username: Finds messages from a specific deviant
