What items are prohibited in Arts & Crafts?
Arts & Crafts is designed for original, handmade, and physical creative work. Not all items are eligible for sale, and some categories are prohibited regardless of how they are listed or described.
Prohibited items
DeviantArt prohibits the listing and sale of any product, content, or material that is illegal to offer, sell, or ship under applicable law.
Arts & Crafts listings are also subject to DeviantArt's Terms of Service and Submission Policy and are treated as public deviations. Any item that would violate those policies as a deviation is also prohibited as an Arts & Crafts listing.
In addition, DeviantArt prohibits the sale of items in the following categories:
- Third-party intellectual property
- Pornographic or intimate products
- Nonconsensual intimate material
- Hate items and hate propaganda
- Alcohol
- Tobacco and nicotine products
- Medicines, prescription drugs, and controlled substances
- Animal products, human body parts, wastes, and fluids
- Hazardous materials
- Firearms and ammunition
- Drug paraphernalia
- Medical devices and items making medical claims
- Metaphysical goods and services
- Stolen items
- Illegal items or services
- Non-curated dropshipping or reselling
What is dropshipping?
Dropshipping is the practice of selling ready-made or manufactured products that are shipped directly from a third-party supplier to the buyer, with no alteration, customization, or handling by the seller, and where the seller did not curate, design, or make the product.
Non-curated dropshipping is not permitted on Arts & Crafts.
What if I'm unsure whether my item is allowed?
If you're not sure whether your item is eligible, review DeviantArt's Terms of Service and Submission Policy before listing. If you still have questions, contact DeviantArt Support.
