The Deviousness Award has been a long-standing tradition since DeviantArt’s early years, and it's given to one deviant each month in recognition of their exemplary contributions to DeviantArt and its community. Recipients of the Deviousness Award receive senior member status, as well a unique section on their Profile containing their award.

Each recipient is selected for specific, individual reasons, but common overlapping traits include: consistent activity in the community, aiding other deviants with guidance or advice, and generally offering helping hands to others. Some recipients are professionals in their field, and all are recognized members of their respective communities on DeviantArt. Each Deviousness Award recipient has helped other deviants strive to be their best and has bettered the community by doing so.

Each recipient is selected by a small group of DeviantArt team members that monitor the community for deviants who go above and beyond in bringing positivity to DeviantArt.
