What is boosting and how do I boost my content?
Boosting content is a Core Member feature that increases visibility on artwork and more.
Specify how long you’d like to boost your artwork’s exposure from 2 to 8 days (in 48-hour increments) on the Home feed, Deviants You Watch page, and deviation page sidebars to reach those who are most likely to enjoy your work.
You can also boost multiple items at once.
How often can I boost content?
The amount of boosts you receive depends on the level of your Core Membership.
- Core+ Members receive one boost per month.
- Core Pro Members receive two boosts per month.
- Core Pro+ Members receive three boosts per month.
- Core Max Members receive five boosts per month.
Core Members can purchase additional boosts for 250 Points each. Your current Points balance and remaining free boosts are always visible at a glance in the Boost modal.
What can and can’t be boosted?
The following content CAN be boosted:
- Public deviations (including literature, Premium Downloads, and Exclusives)
- Subscription tiers
The following content CANNOT be boosted:
- Deviations in tiers, Premium Galleries, or Watcher-Only galleries
- Posts
- Commissions
- Premium Galleries
How do I boost my content?
You can boost a deviation from the deviation page or from your Studio.
- On the deviation page, tap the rocket icon beneath your artwork to boost it.
- Alternatively, go to the Published tab in Studio and click Boost for the deviation you want to promote.
- To boost a Subscription tier, visit the Subscriptions tab on your Profile and click the Boost Tier button on the tier you'd like to boost.
To get the most out of your boost, select up to 3 relevant tags for your piece to target the right audience.
Who will see my boosted content?
Your content will appear for deviants who are most likely to enjoy your work, to give it the best chance to stand out from the crowd. In the case of the Deviants You Watch page, your boosted content will appear solely and specifically for deviants who watch you.
While boosted content will gain more exposure, DeviantArt makes no guarantees regarding the exact level of exposure, number of views, or any other type of engagement the boosted content may receive.
Where can I track the performance of boosted content?
You can visit the Stats and Insights tab on your Profile to see a full log of the deviations and Subscription tiers you’ve boosted, as well as the exposure each item has received.
What does the exposure index mean on my boosted items' stats?
The exposure index is a graph that can be used to compare a deviation or tier’s daily reach across the network. Exposure refers to the amount of views received by a deviation or tier in the network via Home feeds, deviation page sidebars, or the Deviants You Watch page.
For each boosted item, exposure is expressed as a daily score from 1 to 20. The higher the score a deviation or tier got on a given day, the more views that item got on that day. Note that if boosted content is viewed by the same user in multiple feeds on a single day, it will be counted as one view.
For instance, on a specific day, a deviation with broader network reach might score 11 on the exposure index, while another deviation with lower network reach might score 3.
