What happens when someone blocks me?

If you're blocked by another member, there is nothing you need to do. You should not attempt to contact the person you were blocked by. 

What does blocking do?

  • Prevents communication between the person blocked and the person blocking.
  • Prevents comments, notes, or replies being sent.
  • No notifications will be received.
  • Favourites and watches between will be prevented.
  • Existing watches between the blocked person and person blocking will be canceled and removed.
  • Existing favourited deviations of the person blocking will be removed from the blocked person's favourites.

What is post-block contact?

Contacting a user through an alternate account may result in administrative action, so if you feel the need to contact someone who has blocked you, remember they have blocked you because they do not wish to communicate or engage with you in any way.  

DeviantArt staff will not deliver messages on your behalf, force a deviant to unblock you, or unhide a comment.
