What are the advanced settings on the submit page?

You can change a variety of options from the Advanced settings menu when submitting a deviation.

Deviation Details

When you click “Add” next to the Deviation details option, you’ll see a modal that prompts you to share more about your deviation.

  • The Model option can be used to identify the model in your deviation. If this is a deviant, you can include their username!
  • The Object option can be used to identify a subject in your deviation.
  • The Character option can be used to identify a character in your deviation, be it fan art or an original character you’ve created.
  • The Artist option can be used to identify an artist you referenced when creating your deviation with DreamUp.
  • The Location option can be used to tag an area when sharing a photo, or when your deviation is a drawing of a specific place.

When you fill out information in the Deviation details section, links appear on the deviation page linking to searches with the terms you included, so deviants can discover more art like it.

Creative Works Licensing

If you want to allow other people to use your artwork for personal or commercial use, you can set specific licenses to grant or restrict what your art can be used for from this menu.

Disable Comments

If you want to share your work without allowing deviants to leave comments on the deviation, you can enable or disable commenting at any time with this toggle.

Scraps

If you want to make a work publicly visible that you don’t want displayed in your main gallery, you can use the “Skip gallery and submit to Scraps“ option to have the work appear only in your Scraps.

Source File Download

You can enable or disable free downloads of the source file you’ve uploaded with this toggle.
