What are Private Collections?
Private Collections can be used to appreciate and hold on to art you like in a way that’s only visible to you.
Private Collections are a Core Member feature, but all deviants can add up to 10 deviations to one Private Collection for free. To add a deviation to a Private Collection, click on the Private Collection icon on that deviation page.

Private Collections work similarly to regular Collections. You can create multiple different Private Collections, give them distinct names, and organize them from your Private tab.
Collections vs. Private Collections
Collections | Private Collections | |
---|---|---|
Who can see it? | Everyone | Only you |
Does it appear on deviation pages and search results? | Yes | No |
What info is displayed on deviation pages? | Amount of collectors and the collectors’ usernames | Only the amount of collectors |
What info is shared with the artist? | Your username and the name of the Collection | Only your username |
What happens to my Private Collections if my Core Membership expires?
If your Core Membership expires, you'll only be able to add deviations to your Private Collections if you have fewer than 10 deviations in total in your Private Collections. You can still remove deviations from your Private Collections and delete existing collections themselves; however, you won't be able to create new Private Collections without upgrading to Core.
Your Private Collections will always remain visible only to you, regardless of your Core Membership status.
