What are DeviantArt’s policies regarding posting in the Forum?
The DeviantArt Forum is a place you can go to connect with the community over shared interests. As with everywhere on DeviantArt, your behavior in the Forum must comply with the Terms of Service, Etiquette Policy, and all other policies.
Additional Forum-Specific Policies
In an effort to keep the forum environment fun and accessible for all deviants, you're required to abide by additional Forum-specific policies.
- All forum threads and comments must be in English only. While DeviantArt is a global community, this is to ensure forums are able to be properly moderated.
- Forum threads are meant to encourage discussion or community interaction. If your thread has a single question that has been answered, refrain from intentionally commenting on your own thread for the purposes of bumping it to the top of the thread list.
- Forums cannot be used for support with DeviantArt. If you need help, consult the Help Center or contact DeviantArt Customer Support.
- When posting a new forum thread, be sure to post your thread in the relevant category.
- If there is an active thread covering the topic about which you want to post, comment on that thread rather than creating a new one.
- When creating a forum thread, your title should be relevant to the content of your thread.
- Threads must not contain excessive capital letters or text that might distort the Forum page.
- Threads or comments involving mature subjects, acts, or topics are not appropriate in any forum category, as forums cannot be labeled as mature.
Failure to abide by these policies may result in disciplinary action ranging from your comment being deleted, your thread being closed, or indefinite suspension.
