How do I enable or disable comments on my content and profile?

You can disable comments on your profile and anything you post: deviations, journals, status updates.

Disable comments on a deviation

When uploading a new deviation
  1. Upload art you want to submit.
  2. Before submitting, scroll down to Advanced settings > switch the Disable comments toggle on.
On a deviation you've already submitted
  1. On a deviation page, click Edit.
  2. Scroll down to Advanced settings > switch the Disable comments toggle on.
To enable comments again, switch the Disable comments toggle off.

You can also disable comments from your Studio, including in bulk:
  1. Select several deviations.
  2. In the upper panel, click the Edit dropdown > Commenting.
  3. Choose Disable comments.
To enable comments in bulk again, choose Allow comments.

Disable comments on a journal or status update

On a post you've already submitted
  1. Go to your Studio > Published > Posts tab.
  2. Select a post or several.
  3. In the upper panel, click the Edit dropdown > Commenting.
  4. Choose Disable comments.
While creating a new post (currently only available for journals)
  1. Before submitting, click Save to Studio.
  2. Go to your Studio > Published > Posts tab.
  3. Select a post or several.
  4. In the upper panel, click the Edit dropdown > Commenting.
  5. Choose Disable comments.
To enable comments again, choose Allow comments.

Disable comments on your profile

To disable profile comments:
  1. Go to the Home tab in your profile.
  2. In the Comments section, click the Remove icon.
To enable profile comments again:
  1. Go to the Home tab in your profile.
  2. Click + Add section.
  3. Select the Comments section.
