How do I customize and manage my Watch?

Adding fellow deviants to your Watch allows you to have journals, deviations, and more delivered right to you!

Adding users to your Watch

Add users to your Watch by clicking the Watch button on a deviant's profile page or from one of their deviation pages.

You can unwatch a user quickly by clicking Watching. This will revert the button back to Watch, so you can tell that you're no longer following that person.

Managing your Watch

Managing through the Deviants You Watch page:
Customizing your watch will affect both your Watch and DYW feed.

Unwatch a user directly from the DYW feed:
  1. Select the user from the carousel at the top.
  2. Click the Watching button on the right of the user's feed.
Customizing the content type you see from deviants you watch:
From Watch, you can manage what type of content you see from each deviant. For example, if you’d rather not see a specific deviant’s posts, but do want to enjoy their deviations, you can opt out.

To opt out of a specific content type from a user:
  1. Go to Watch.
  2. From the menu, select a content type: Deviations, Posts, etc.
  3. Hover over a specific user’s content, and tap the “...” icon.
  4. Select Stop watching [username]'s [content type].

Tip: To reset all content settings for a specific deviant, you can unwatch and then re-watch them.

Things to note

  • Your watchers will not be notified of minor deviation edits. However, if you upload a new image file you will be presented with the option to notify your watchers of this change or not.
  • Users will not be notified if you've removed them from your watch.
  • You can remove yourself from someone else's watch through the use of the block tool, which may be found in your Edit Settings page under the Personal > General section.
  • By placing a deviant's username on your Block list, they will be unable to add your account to their watch (or Friends) listing, and your account will be removed from this listing if it has already been added.
