How can I retrieve a forgotten password?

To request a forgotten password email:

  • Click “Log In” at the top right of DeviantArt’s site navigation.
  • Select “Forgot username or password?” and then enter your username.
  • Click “Send Email.”

Once you click “Send Email,” an email will be sent to the address associated with the username you entered. This email includes a one-time key to reset your password, at which point you’ll be able to set a new password for your account.

If you request multiple forgotten password emails, only the most recent key will work.

If you haven't received a reset email:

It may take a few minutes for an email to arrive. If you have not received an email after a few minutes have passed, check your email’s spam or bulk mail folder to ensure that the email wasn’t automatically filtered.

If you have any other email addresses, it may be worth checking those as well, in case you haven't updated the email address linked to your account in a while.

If you received an email but the link didn’t work:

Wait 24 hours, then request a new email. When you receive the new email, copy and paste the URL from the email directly into your browser rather than clicking on the link to see if that resolves the issue. If it doesn’t, try disabling any browser extensions you have enabled or opening the link in a different browser.
